Holy Communion
Holy Communion is celebrated on the
first, third and fifth weekends of each month as well as at every Saturday
evening worship service.
We believe that Jesus
Christ is truly present in the bread and wine of this meal. In this feast,
our sins are forgiven and we are strengthened and nourished to be God's
witness of love. We welcome all baptized people, regardless of your church
background, to join us in this Holy meal.
For those who prefer, white grape juice is provided in the center of each tray
in place of wine. The meal is distributed in two ways — at the communion
rail and continuous lines.
If you have difficulty kneeling at the communion rail, please remain
standing. Ushers provide direction at the time of communion. Those who are
not baptized are welcome to come forward to receive a blessing.
Homebound Christian Ministry is comprised of a team of dedicated volunteers who receive special training in the ministry of sharing Holy Communion with shut-ins. In addition to visits from our Pastor, our lay ministers insure that our homebound members receive Holy Communion on a regular monthly schedule.
Sharing God's meal, forming strong emotional bonds, making onetime active members continue to feel like part of the family, answering God's call-all of these make up the Homebound Communion Ministry.
Baptism
Baptismal Conferences for parents desiring Holy Baptism for their child/children or adults who seek to be
baptized are upon appointment with the Pastor in his office.
